"Archery is a unique sport that an be enjoyed by virtually anyone regardless of age, gender, size, physical ability or previous experience. On the very first class, participants can be taught how to shoot and hit the target, which gives them a tremendous feeling of success and pride.
Using archery to teach sports success is a valuable lesson which transfers into other recreational activities. It appeals to participants who might otherwise not get involved in any sports.
Archery instills confidence, greater attention spans, and a willingness to try other sports activities."
Beginner: 5 week course for any age. Classes are on Thursdays from 6-7pm and there may be an additional time slot available from 5-6pm if the 6pm class is full. This class includes will help a new archer learn range safety and proper shooting form. We will go over drills and skills to improve your shooting. Equipment is available for rental upon request.
Archers can join the intermediate class after completing the beginner course or at least two private lessons to have the basic safety rules and shooting form down. We will continue to enhance the shooting skills of the archer with scored rounds and shooting at different types of targets. There will also be an emphasis on equipment care and more individualized training. These classes are on Tuesdays from 6-7pm.
Private lessons are flexible to accommodate your schedule. They content is unique to each archer's needs. They are an hour long one-on-one session.
JOAD: Junior Olympic Archery Development Club
"Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is a program of USA Archery for youth ages 8-20 years conducted in a club setting. Participants in the JOAD program can enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition. The JOAD program offers barebow, basic compound, recurve, and compound archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also fosters increased self-confidence and team building skills. The JOAD program also provides an achievement award program to reward archers for scoring achievements."
Adult Archery Program Club:
"The Adult Archery Program is a program of USA Archery for adults ages 21 years and older conducted in a club setting. Participants in the Adult Archery Program can enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition. Similar to JOAD, the Adult Archery Program offers barebow, basic compound, recurve, compound, and traditional archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also offers opportunities for stress release, socialization, and fun. The Adult Archery Program also provides an achievement award program to reward archers for scoring achievements and is a great program option for those seeking a lifetime or family sport."
We offer the Adult Archery Program in conjunction with the JOAD Program so that families can participate together.
